Polygon Foundation CEO: Geopolitical tensions highlight the vulnerability of traditional cross-border payments
Foresight News reports that Polygon Foundation CEO Sandeep Nailwal tweeted, "Traditional settlement methods still require intermediaries and channels. Once situations become tense, these links get blocked, leaving billions of funds stalled. However, stablecoins operating on public blockchains can settle transactions within seconds regardless of circumstances. Polygon alone processed 532 million transactions this month with zero downtime throughout. On-chain payments are unaffected by intergovernmental situations—they simply keep working as intended."
