A BTC whale who bought at the peak was liquidated for $7.8 million in a short period, accounting for about 62% of the total BTC liquidation amount across the network in the past hour.
BlockBeats news, March 31, according to Hyperinsight monitoring, due to a short-term drop in BTC below $67,000, with a low reaching $66,600. In the past hour, BTC liquidations across the network amounted to approximately $12.68 million, with long positions accounting for about 99%.
On the Hyperliquid platform, the whale with address starting 0x9bb suffered two consecutive large liquidations near $66,730, totaling 117.6 BTC, about $7.846 million, accounting for 62% of the total network liquidations during the same period. This address became the largest single liquidation address on-chain for the day.
It is reported that this position was opened in a chase for gains earlier today. Currently, all BTC long positions have been liquidated, resulting in a loss of about $121,000 and a cumulative weekly loss of $275,000.
This address had previously been liquidated for 192.4 long BTC, about $13.5 million, when BTC fell below $70,000 on March 19, making it the largest single liquidation address on the network that day. Two consecutive liquidations have left this whale account with only $150,000 remaining.
