Bank of America raises chip equipment spending forecast, prioritizes Applied Materials and Lam Research as top picks

Golden Ten Data, March 31 — Applied Materials and Lam Research remain Bank of America's top picks in the semiconductor equipment sector, as the bank now believes equipment spending will continue to increase. Analysts stated that chip equipment spending will reach $140 billion in 2026, $171 billion in 2027, and $193 billion in 2028. Previous forecasts were $131 billion, $150 billion, and $155 billion, respectively.
