Rehn stated that although the market has clearly priced in expectations of interest rate hikes, it is still best to carefully assess monetary policy, as the European Central Bank has not predetermined any course of action. Rehn refused to comment on the timing of any potential moves by the European Central Bank and said decisions would be made on a meeting-by-meeting basis.
