Japanese and South Korean Stock Markets Open Strongly, Gold Surpasses $4,700
On April 1, following a significant rise in U.S. stocks overnight, the Japanese and South Korean markets followed suit. According to Bitget data, the South Korean KOSPI index opened on April 1 (Wednesday) with an increase of 267.92 points, or 5.3%, reaching 5,320.38 points. The Nikkei 225 index opened on April 1 (Wednesday) with an increase of 883.17 points, or 1.73%, reaching 51,946.89 points. Spot gold rose to $4,700 per ounce early on Wednesday, up 0.7% for the day, marking the first time in nearly two weeks that it has reached this level.
