Berkshire hires banks to arrange yen bond issuance amid market volatility

Gelonghui, April 2｜Berkshire Hathaway has hired banks to arrange its first yen bond issuance since November last year, sparking market speculation about its investment plans in Japan. Mizuho Securities said in an email on Thursday that the US insurance conglomerate has mandated Mizuho Securities and BofA Securities to prepare a potential benchmark-sized yen bond offering; the issuance is expected to take place soon if market conditions permit.
