HyperCore's net destruction exceeds 17,000 HYPE in a single day, with the current pace projecting an annualized deflation of over 6 million tokens.
BlockBeats news, on April 2, according to official Hyperliquid data, on April 1, HyperCore repurchased 43,749.54 HYPE at an average price of approximately $36.77, and on the same day distributed 26,657 HYPE to stakers and 24 validator nodes. After offsetting the two, a net total of 17,092 HYPE was permanently burned, resulting in a daily net deflation of about 17,000 tokens. If this pace continues, the annualized deflation rate is estimated to reach approximately 6.15 million tokens.
For comparison, Solana issues about 25.19 million new SOL annually through staking and validator node rewards. It is reported that HyperCore's buyback efficiency is negatively correlated with price, thereby smoothing the supply pressure throughout the market cycle.
