March 2026 Consumer Price Index Update
In March 2026, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 0.2% compared to February, reaching a value of 100.8 points, with December 2025 as the base period. Annual inflation stood at 0.3% higher than March 2025, according to the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
This monthly increase was primarily driven by higher costs for heating oil and international package holidays. Additionally, air travel, petrol, and diesel prices saw upward movement. On the other hand, hotel rates, supplementary accommodation, and car rental prices experienced declines.
