Economic Strength Faces Challenges from Rising Inflation
Steady Economic Growth Amid Global Challenges
Recent data from March suggest that the economy is maintaining a steady pace of growth, even as gas prices climb and uncertainties mount due to the conflict with Iran and the Strait of Hormuz closure. For this expansion to persist through the current wave of inflation, it will rely on a stable job market and consumers who continue to spend despite higher costs.
At present, the situation appears under control. Notably, consumer confidence saw an unexpected boost in March, increasing to 91.8 from February’s 91.0, following a similar trend in January.
