The report projects that the ASEAN+3 region will see economic growth of 4.0% in both 2026 and 2027. The report also pointed out that the ongoing Middle East conflict and disruptions to global energy supply have significantly increased the downside risks to the region’s economic outlook. According to the report, the region's economic growth in 2025 is expected to reach 4.3%, higher than previous forecasts. Among the driving factors, demand for semiconductors powered by artificial intelligence has become an important engine for export growth.
