Golden Ten Data, April 8 – According to foreign media reports, Malaysian energy giant Petronas stated that a tanker chartered by its subsidiary is heading towards the company's refinery in Johor after passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The state-owned company said on Wednesday: “The tanker, carrying Iraqi crude oil, is en route to our refinery in Pengerang.” The company noted that the tanker, chartered by Petronas’ trading arm Petco, is currently located in the Gulf of Oman. It is one of seven Malaysian tankers authorized to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. The company added that these vessels are not required to pay the transit fees charged by Iran for passing ships.
