An independent miner mined Bitcoin block 944,306 with a "once in 300 years" probability, earning 3.128 BTC.
BlockBeats reported on April 9, citing The Block, that an independent Bitcoin miner successfully mined a Bitcoin block earlier this Thursday with extremely low probability and received the entire block subsidy and transaction fee rewards.
According to data from block explorer Mempool, the miner used CKpool's solo mining software to mine block number 944,306, receiving a total of 3.128 Bitcoin (approximately $222,012). This includes a block subsidy of 3.125 Bitcoin (about $221,800) and 0.003 Bitcoin in transaction fees (about $212).
CKpool developer Con Kolivas posted on X: "Congratulations to this miner, who mined the 313th solo block with only 70TH of hashrate. For miners of this size, the probability of mining a block per day is only about 1 in 100,000, and on average, it would take roughly 300 years for this to happen once."
