Australia takes measures to secure urea supply in response to Iran conflict

The Minister for Agriculture revealed on Sunday that about 60% of Australia's urea must be transported through the Strait of Hormuz. Urea is a major nitrogen fertilizer used to increase crop yields, and although this crucial shipping route remains restricted even after the US-Iran ceasefire agreement took effect on April 8. The Minister for Agriculture stated that Australia currently has sufficient reserves and supplies "en route", adding that the government is working with the industry to ensure long-term stability of supply.
