Polysilicon insider: "Industry leaders' closed-door meeting in Chengdu to coordinate production cuts and support prices" is fake news
Golden Ten Data reported on April 13 that a meeting summary has been circulating online, alleging that several leading photovoltaic companies gathered in Chengdu earlier this month for a closed-door meeting to discuss mandatory production control and price support for polysilicon. An insider from one of the companies mentioned in the rumors responded, stating that this is false information. Additionally, according to feedback from market quotation agencies, it is understood that the quoted prices for polysilicon from some upstream companies involved in the rumors have not changed, and the overall spot market trading atmosphere remains weak.
