XRP Ledger introduces Boundless to promote bank-grade privacy and compliant transactions on public blockchains
Odaily reported that XRP Ledger has announced an integration with zero-knowledge infrastructure provider Boundless, enabling banks and asset management institutions to execute transactions on the public chain with both privacy protection and compliance.
According to the introduction, this solution can conceal sensitive information such as transaction size, frequency, and counterparties, while still permitting regulatory audits through selective disclosure and role-based access control, thus achieving a balance between privacy and compliance.
This integration will support institutional-level scenarios such as cross-border B2B payments, cash and capital management, over-the-counter (OTC) trading, tokenized asset issuance, and on-chain trading and lending. Industry insiders believe that the contradiction between public chain transparency and privacy needs has long been a major obstacle to institutional adoption, and this solution aims to reduce the so-called “transparency tax.”
Meanwhile, competition in the privacy sector continues to intensify. Technology approaches—including zero-knowledge proofs (ZK) and fully homomorphic encryption (FHE)—are being rapidly adopted, driving privacy capabilities from an optional feature to fundamental infrastructure. Data shows that the tokenized asset market size has reached approximately $29.25 billion, increasing by about 7.9% per month. (Cointelegraph)
