GoldenTen Data, April 15th | Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian stated that, due to the rise in oil prices caused by the Iran conflict, the company’s fuel expenses this quarter will increase by about $2.5 billion, and they are considering passing these costs on to passengers. Over the past month, fuel prices have doubled, and airlines need to cope through fare increases and other measures, though such measures are difficult to implement quickly and comprehensively. At the same time, the company is also considering suspending some unprofitable routes and reviewing capital expenditure plans, including postponing some investments.
