Inpex spokesperson said: Most eligible employees have already voted, and the proposed agreement was not approved. The Offshore Alliance, which is made up of the Australian Maritime Union and the Australian Workers' Union, previously stated that its 430 members would vote against the new contract, saying that the new agreement does not meet the benchmark industry standards in terms of wages and conditions. The Inpex spokesperson said the company will "continue to actively participate in the negotiation process in good faith and work together to address employees' feedback." In addition, union members will complete voting next week to decide whether to take protected industrial action, with voting ending on April 24.
