Tim Waterer, Chief Market Analyst at KCM Trade, stated that Brent crude oil returning to the triple-digit mark keeps inflation concerns at the forefront of the market and is putting pressure on gold today. 2. Waterer noted that investors worry the current situation of "ceasefire plus blockade" could persist for months, turning short-term price surges into deeply rooted long-term inflation, which from a yield perspective will negatively impact gold.
