Analyst: Iran's oil revenues can last until August, but Trump may not be able to wait
BlockBeats News, April 24, according to Al Jazeera, Kenneth Katzman, former Iran analyst at the Congressional Research Service in Washington, D.C., stated that with the United States imposing a blockade on Iranian ports, Iran has no new oil exports, but Tehran currently has between 160 million and 170 million barrels of oil "floating at sea" on ships around the world.
Katzman said: "I learned through an Iranian professor that, based on these reserves, despite the U.S. maritime blockade, Tehran can still maintain a revenue stream until August. There is still quite some time between now and August. Can Trump hold out until August? I’m afraid not. So he may have to consider taking drastic escalation measures to achieve the results he wants. Otherwise, he will have to accept an agreement that is less favorable than he envisioned."
