Crypto hackers have stolen a total of $17.1 billions in assets over the past decade.
ChainCatcher reports that there has been a cumulative loss of $17.1 billion over the past ten years, involving 518 incidents; approximately $15.2 billion lost over the past five years, involving more than 450 incidents; and about $2.5 billion lost over the past year, involving more than 140 incidents. Recent losses indicate that crypto attacks have shifted from smart contract vulnerabilities to private key leaks and access control breaches.
