U.S. stock index futures edged slightly lower in the short term, with Nasdaq 100 index futures narrowing their gains to 1%. The yield on the U.S. 10-year Treasury note rose sharply in the short term and is now at 4.361%. Spot gold dipped slightly in the short term, now quoted at $4,561.55 per ounce.
