US March Durable Goods Orders Quick Review: March Core Durable Goods Orders Post Largest Increase Since 2020

Data released by the US Department of Commerce on Wednesday showed that core capital goods orders, excluding aircraft and military hardware, increased by 3.3%, following a revised 1.6% increase in February. Total durable goods orders—which are products with a lifespan of at least three years and include commercial aircraft and military equipment—rose by 0.8%. Boeing stated earlier this month that orders saw a slight rebound in March.
