Jinse Finance reported that on May 2nd, three years ago, the UK Treasury and the Bank of England had stated that it was highly likely necessary to launch a digital pound, but now the situation has changed significantly. Currently, the future of the Bank of England's digital currency, known as the "digital pound," is uncertain. According to sources familiar with the matter, the market had originally expected the UK to decide this summer whether to approve or completely shelve the project, but officials are now considering a compromise: slowing down the development process of the central bank digital currency.
