Jinse Finance reported that on May 6, Western Union launched USDPT on the Solana platform, a US dollar stablecoin issued by Anchorage Digital Bank, designed for 24/7 settlements with agents and partners. Analyst Angus Scott stated that USDPT demonstrates stablecoins are disrupting traditional payment methods and putting pressure on conventional remittance and bank settlement models. Solana's fast, low-cost, and around-the-clock operation enables USDPT to handle both small consumer payments and large settlement flows, merging remittance and wholesale settlements.
