Burger King’s parent company beats Q1 revenue and earnings per share expectations, with same-store sales up 3.2%

Glonghui, May 7 — Restaurant Brands International, the parent company of Burger King, announced that first-quarter revenue increased by 7.4% year-on-year to $2.26 billion, and earnings per share rose from $0.75 a year ago to $0.86. These figures beat analysts’ expectations of $2.24 billion in revenue and $0.83 per share in earnings. During the period, same-store sales grew by 3.2%, in line with market forecasts.
