mETH Protocol will gradually cease the operation of cmETH, and the reward claiming window will close on November 7.
Foresight News reported that mETH Protocol has officially announced it will gradually discontinue the operation of its liquidity re-staking token cmETH, while other products will continue to operate as usual. The cmETH minting function was closed on May 7, 2026, and the final EigenLayer reward distribution will be completed in mid-June 2026. The reward claim window will close on November 7, 2026.
mETH Protocol stated that, after comprehensively evaluating current market developments, discontinuing cmETH is the most prudent choice, allowing resources to be refocused on directions that can create more lasting value for users. Existing holdings are not affected, while the unstaking and bridging functions remain available.
