According to Odaily, the EIA Short-Term Energy Outlook report states that the Strait of Hormuz is expected to remain closed until the end of May, gradually resuming navigation in June, and reaching pre-conflict levels by late 2026. Global oil demand in 2026 is projected at 104.2 million barrels per day, previously forecast at 104.6 million barrels per day; 2027 demand is projected at 105.6 million barrels per day, previously forecast at 106.2 million barrels per day.
