Glonghui May 14|Nebius surged over 11% to hit another record high, leading cloud computing service providers. Hewlett Packard Enterprise rose 7.4%, Oracle and CoreWeave gained 5.3%, ServiceNow climbed nearly 4%, and IBM was up almost 2%. On the news front, Morgan Stanley released a research report indicating that the speed and scale of AI infrastructure construction have far exceeded market expectations from a year ago. Previously, the market expected the combined capital expenditures of five hyperscale cloud service providers (Alphabet, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, and Oracle) in 2026 and 2027 to be around $450 billion annually. However, after the latest earnings season, the bank has significantly raised its forecast. Specifically, the five cloud giants’ capital expenditure in 2026 is now expected to be around $800 billion, and in 2027 it will further increase to approximately $1.16 trillion.

Bridgewater: Most AI infrastructure trades are already priced in, only holding a "very small position"

Bridgewater CIO Greg Jensen warns that assets related to AI infrastructure have already been significantly priced in by the market, and the excess return opportunities of two years ago are fading. The fund has reduced its positions to a "very minimal" level. According to system modeling through 2028, the upside potential for assets such as chips and data centers is now very limited and faces risks of financing and construction delays. Bridgewater's strategic focus has shifted to AI disruption and application sectors.
