Liquid Q1 Report: Trading volume increased nearly 5 times year-on-year, post-quantum signatures officially launched
Foresight News reports that Blockstream-developed Bitcoin sidechain Liquid Network has released its first quarter report. A total of 1.163 million transactions were processed, representing a nearly 5-fold year-on-year increase and a 72% quarter-on-quarter growth, with March recording the highest monthly transaction volume in history. During this period, 18,800 new assets were issued, with DePix stablecoin contributing approximately 50% of the transaction volume. The Liquid Federation has increased its members to 87, with 7 new members added. On the technical front, post-quantum signatures have officially launched, allowing LBTC and other assets to be protected from quantum computing threats without requiring consensus upgrades.
