Swissquote Group: Nvidia's earnings report has a diminishing impact on AI investors' sentiment

Golden Ten Data, May 20 – Ipek Ozkardeskaya, an analyst at Swissquote Group, stated that Nvidia’s (NVDA.O) earnings reports are no longer as important to the overall AI market sentiment, as investors are paying increasing attention to memory chips. “Nvidia’s earnings reports no longer have the decisive influence they did at the beginning of the AI boom,” the analyst wrote. She indicated that as the powerful processors designed by Nvidia see wider adoption, investors are increasingly viewing the supply of CPUs, which are crucial for AI inference, as well as memory chips, as key indicators for the direction of the AI market. The analyst pointed out that Nvidia’s high-end chips are facing growing competition from major tech companies.
