Agency: Latin American smartphone market grew by 3% year-on-year in Q1 to 34.8 million units
According to Golden Ten Data on May 22, the latest data from Omdia shows that in the first quarter of 2026, the Latin American smartphone market grew by 3% year-on-year, reaching 34.8 million units. This performance represents “continued growth” following record shipments in the fourth quarter and the entire year of 2025. In this regional market, Samsung leads with shipments of 12.9 million units and a 37% market share, up 9% year-on-year; Xiaomi ranks second, achieving growth for the sixth consecutive quarter with 6 million units shipped and a 17% market share; Motorola ranks third with 4.9 million units shipped, down 5% year-on-year, and a 14% market share; Honor is fourth, shipping 3.4 million units, a 30% year-on-year increase, taking a 10% market share; Apple ranks fifth, up 31% year-on-year.
