The United States Central Command stated that US and Israeli fighter jets attacked several Iranian vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump said that negotiations with Tehran on a provisional agreement had made progress. S&P 500 index futures fell, West Texas Intermediate crude oil prices rose, and gold fluctuated. Republican senators, including Graham, expressed dissatisfaction that the agreement might concede too much to Tehran.
