Glonghui, May 26 — Uber has made an acquisition offer to Delivery Hero at 33 euros per share, valuing the company at approximately $14 billion to $18 billion. According to Bernstein analysts, Uber’s acquisition interest reflects both the scarcity of high-quality food delivery assets and the importance of scale in an increasingly competitive market. The analysts believe Uber values the strategic advantage of expanding its global food delivery business, as well as the synergy from integrating Delivery Hero’s operations with Uber’s mobility services in multiple markets. Despite concerns about earnings dilution and regulatory risks, Bernstein maintains its “outperform” ratings for both Uber and DoorDash, stating that the long-term growth potential in food delivery and instant retail remains considerable.
