With the two major giants pausing, Japanese food brand DayDayCook unexpectedly became the largest BTC buyer this week.
According to Odaily, citing SoSoValue data, as of 8:00 a.m. ET on May 25, 2026, the total net weekly purchase of Bitcoin by global listed companies (excluding mining companies) was 17.38 million US dollars, a decrease of 99.14% compared to last week.
Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) did not purchase any Bitcoin last week.
Japanese listed company Metaplanet also did not purchase any Bitcoin last week.
In addition, two other companies bought Bitcoin last week. Japanese food brand DayDayCook announced on May 21 that it spent 15.8992 million US dollars to buy 200 Bitcoin at a price of $79,496 each, bringing its total holdings to 2,583 Bitcoin; UK-based Bitcoin company The Smarter Web Company announced on May 21 that it invested 1.48 million US dollars to buy 19 Bitcoin at a price of $77,687 each, bringing its total holdings to 2,859 Bitcoin.
As of this report, the global listed companies included in the statistics (excluding mining companies) collectively hold 1,114,060 Bitcoin, an increase of 0.02% compared to last week. The current market value is approximately 8.603 billion US dollars, accounting for 5.6% of Bitcoin's circulating market capitalization.
