OP Mainnet adjusts transaction ordering rules, launches a four-round experiment of "staking-based priority ordering"
Foresight News reported that Optimism announced on Twitter that OP Mainnet is officially launching the staking-based priority ordering experiment starting today. This is the first time in years that OP Mainnet has changed its transaction ordering rules, which previously only relied on the highest priority gas fee to determine order. This experiment has been approved by the Optimism governance mechanism and will last for 4 weeks (ending on June 23). Users must stake at least 100,000 OP in the PolicyEngineStaking contract to participate and obtain block-level transaction priority. After the experiment ends, standard PGA ordering will automatically resume. The experiment will occupy up to 20% of block space, and any unused portion will automatically return to the regular transaction pool. The transaction ordering rules for non-participants remain completely unchanged and will still be executed based on the traditional highest priority gas fee.

What's even more dangerous is that persistent inflation may force the Federal Reserve to continue raising interest rates, increasing financing costs and creating a vicious cycle of "high debt—high interest rates—even higher debt."
