⑴ Gold prices continued the decline from the previous trading day, remaining below $4,400 per ounce, due to ongoing concerns about the impact of the Iran conflict on inflation and interest rates. ⑵ Analysts at Saxo Bank stated: "With U.S. Treasuries facing sell-offs and the U.S. dollar strengthening after a fresh surge in oil prices, gold prices fell to a two-month low, further intensifying concerns that tight energy supplies will continue to put upward pressure on inflation." ⑶ The bank noted that, meanwhile, rising fuel prices are increasing the pressure on some countries to sell gold reserves to support their currencies and economies struggling due to higher import costs. ⑷ New York gold futures fell 1.3% to $4,391 per ounce. Silver dropped 1.5% to $73.74 per ounce.
