Glonghui, May 29 — With the launch of an app called "Trump Account," an unprecedented, decades-spanning financial experiment has officially entered its final pre-launch stage. For context, the "Trump Account" is a tax-deferred investment project established by the U.S. government last year, aiming to make every child an investor from birth. Through personal experience, they can witness their savings grow through compound interest, and then take over the account on their 18th birthday to decide how to use the funds (or continue investing). The initial funds will be automatically invested in default, qualified, low-cost index funds. Based on the approximately 3.6 million newborns in the U.S. last year, the number of participants in this investment experiment is expected to exceed at least 10 million.
