Foresight News reports that Sei has released the Giga upgrade roadmap. Giga is Sei's next-generation protocol upgrade, aiming to achieve higher transaction performance by restructuring the execution client, state management, and consensus mechanism. According to the roadmap, Sei will introduce several core upgrades, including: Ares execution client upgrade (significantly enhancing performance through pipelined execution, asynchronous processing, and other optimizations); Eidos state management upgrade (replacing Merkle trees with flat key-value storage, separating hot state from cold archive); Autobahn consensus (targeting 200,000 TPS and 400ms finality, having achieved 5 Gigagas processing capacity on the internal distributed testnet); Sedna private mempool (introducing an encrypted transaction propagation mechanism); gradual shift to an EVM-only architecture (phasing out Cosmos SDK and CosmWasm via SIP-3).
