When asked about reports that Iranian negotiators had stopped communicating with the United States due to Israel's military actions in Lebanon, Trump responded, “I really don’t care.” Trump told CNBC that he “will ask” Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu “what’s really happening in Lebanon.” He also stated that he is not worried about oil prices. Earlier, a report from Iranian state media caused oil prices to surge sharply, as it claimed that Tehran would not only halt negotiations but also vowed to “completely blockade” the Strait of Hormuz.
