Glonghui June 2nd|British American Tobacco (BTI.US) fell more than 3% pre-market to $59.11. According to reports, British American Tobacco released its 2026 H1 performance forecast on June 1. The main issue is that while the growth of its new category business is accelerating, its overall performance remains at the lower end of its long-term target range. This "mixed" signal is the core reason for the pre-market stock price drop. For 2026, the company still expects its full-year revenue growth rate to be at the lower end of its mid-term guidance range of 3% to 5%, and its adjusted operating profit growth rate to be at the lower end of the expected range of 4% to 6%. Meanwhile, its adjusted diluted earnings per share are also expected to grow, with an increase at the lower end of the mid-term guidance range of 5% to 8%.
