Cocoa prices rise as declining U.S. port inventories signal tightened supply

The most actively traded cocoa futures contract on the New York market once rose by 7.8%, while London cocoa futures once increased by 7.3%. According to ICE data, as of Monday, certified cocoa inventories at U.S. ports had dropped below 290,000 bags, a decrease of more than 50% compared to last Friday. The market is highly focused on this inventory data because it reflects the scale of regulated physical supplies available for futures contract delivery upon expiration.
