According to Cointelegraph, the CFTC announced on June 4 the abolition of the "no-deny" policy that had been in effect since 1998, which required defendants to agree not to deny allegations when settling. CFTC Chairman Mike Selig stated that this move aligns with the direction of government regulatory agencies and enhances flexibility in enforcement settlements. The SEC abolished a similar policy in May, and multiple crypto companies had previously criticized the rule for restricting freedom of speech.
