- Abu Dhabi International Resources Holding's Zambian subsidiary, Mopani Copper Mines, has once again obtained the largest copper concentrate export quota under a government exemption policy, but still states that it does not plan to export.
- Since the initial batch of exemptions were announced last July, the company's position has never changed. At that time, it had already made it clear that "there are no plans to export any quota production."
- Mopani plans to use this portion of output in its own processing operations, in line with its long-term strategy to strengthen domestic refining capacity.
