Tom Lee: Crypto market sell-off triggered by Zcash vulnerability is collateral damage to ETH
Foresight News reported that BitMine Chairman Tom Lee issued a statement regarding the recent decline in the crypto market, stating that the market sell-off triggered by a security vulnerability in Zcash (which was fixed on June 1) had affected Ethereum. However, he believes this logic does not hold. Lee said that as AI systems continue to become more powerful, the market demand for decentralized and highly secure blockchain solutions will actually keep rising. AI systems are more likely to expose the shortcomings of centralized financial infrastructure and fragile decentralized protocols, which in fact strengthens the use cases for mature decentralized blockchains like Ethereum. Therefore, the price of ETH should not be under pressure.
