``` "The Father of GPT" Ultron Acknowledges that Tokenomics is Now a Huge Issue ```
On June 2nd, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman admitted at the "Intelligence at Work" event that the cost of AI tokens has become a huge issue. He provided a set of data: six and a half years ago, the world's top token burner used 100,000 tokens per month; however, today, this amount is only equivalent to the global average per person. The current top user now burns a whopping 100 billion tokens per month, a million-fold increase. He stated that in the future, OpenAI aims to turn AI into infrastructure as essential as water and electricity, allowing everyone to use it without worrying about costs.
