The Office of the Prime Minister of Malaysia issued a statement on Thursday, stating that the leaders of the two countries discussed an "exploratory mechanism" for expanding bilateral trade and investment using the Ringgit and the Ruble. The two sides also explored opportunities to strengthen energy cooperation, including Russia's commitment to long-term collaboration in energy and oil supplies, and held consultations on other ways to expand economic and trade exchanges.
