Glonghui, June 22 — Despite uncertainty in the Middle East conflict, the Japanese stock market opened higher this morning as enthusiasm for AI-related demand continues. The Nikkei index rose 0.6% to 71,691.01 points. Electronics and metals stocks led the gains. Murata Manufacturing rose 7.2%, and JX Advanced Metals increased by 8.2%. After President Trump warned that the U.S. could take action against Iran for supporting Hezbollah, investors are closely monitoring crude oil prices and developments in the Middle East situation.
