Goldman Sachs: Hedge Funds Net Sellers of Global Stocks for the First Time in Five Weeks
On June 22, data from Goldman Sachs' prime brokerage division revealed that last week, hedge funds became net sellers of global stocks for the first time in five weeks, with the largest sell-offs occurring in North America and Europe. The Goldman Sachs team noted that the ratio of short selling to long buying was 1.3 to 1, with all major regions, except developed markets in Asia, being net sellers.
