Anchorage Digital launches tokenized deposit platform to enable banks to achieve on-chain settlement
According to ChainCatcher, as reported by CoinDesk, the US federally chartered crypto bank Anchorage Digital has announced the launch of a new platform to help banks issue and manage tokenized deposits. The platform uses blockchain technology to provide banks with 24/7 payments and settlement services without replacing their existing core systems. It operates as a parallel layer, with Anchorage responsible for the blockchain infrastructure, wallet management, and smart contract technology, while banks continue to manage customer relationships and deposit custody. Currently, major banks such as JPMorgan, Citibank, and Bank of America are also planning to jointly establish a tokenized deposit network in the first half of 2027.
