Korean Stocks Close Up Over 3%, Samsung Electronics Up Nearly 10%

The South Korean KOSPI Index experienced wide fluctuations during the day. After a sharp rise of over 4% in the morning, it briefly turned negative with a 1% drop, then surged again by over 4% in the afternoon. It closed up 303.97 points, a gain of 3.71%, at 8507.81 points; Samsung Electronics rose by nearly 10%, while SK Hynix rose by nearly 1%.
